Senior Respite Care at Living Branches

As a caregiver, you know it’s important to balance your loved one’s needs with yours. That’s where respite care comes in.

Respite care is a short-term stay in one of our Personal Care communities (sometimes called assisted living or a nursing home). Often, respite is needed after an illness or surgery or while a caregiver is away on vacation. Sometimes families use short-term care to decide whether Living Branches is a good fit for their loved one’s long-term home.

No matter your reason, your loved one will enjoy everything Personal Care offers during their stay with us. Expect delicious food, engaging activities, appealing campus spaces, and care tailored to your loved one.

Our campuses in Hatfield, Souderton, and Lansdale offer short-term stays. We’re here support you and your loved one – no matter how often you need to “hit pause.”

See the Living Branches difference

Not all retirement communities are the same. As a non-profit, Living Branches goes beyond what you might expect of a typical nursing home, focusing on the needs of residents, families, and team members – not profits.

A focus on service

Living Branches’ three communities began as Mennonite organizations offering traditional nursing home care. We nurture those roots as we continue to grow. Your loved one’s well-being is every team member’s top priority. When you interact with our team members, you’ll feel our commitment to service and kindness.

Transparent pricing

Living Branches’ pricing for short-term care is standardized and transparent. Care ranges from $252 to $316 per day for a two-week minimum stay. The cost varies only by the accommodations you choose.

Access to therapists

Recovery is easier when your therapist is right down the hall. Your loved one will have access to on-site physical, occupational, speech, and creative arts therapists. Therapy can be done in dedicated areas or right in a resident’s suite.

“After a series of falls and disappointing stays at other facilities, our mom reluctantly moved into a respite room at The Willows of Living Branches. She was surprised to find a calm and quiet atmosphere where her needs were met by genuinely caring staff. When the time came for her to leave, she moved into an apartment and was delighted with her new accommodations. The Willows is a peaceful haven, and we are all pleased to have found a place that she can finally rest and feel at home.”

High staff-to-resident ratio

The number of team members for every resident far exceeds what the state requires for a nursing home. Nurses, aides, therapists, and life enrichment coordinators work with each resident. They learn each person’s wants and needs, building strong relationships even in a short period of time.
