Part Time Pastor

The part time Pastor role will require some weekends.
Living Branches is looking for a part time Pastor to join our team! As a Pastor, located at Dock Woods, you’ll be responsible for the assessment and ongoing nurture of the spiritual needs of Living Branches residents, their families, and staff. This work is carried out primarily through one-on-one visitations, group activities, provision of worship services and Bible studies, and the teaming with other Living Branches personnel, home church pastors, and the Mosaic Mennonite Conference. The pastors of Living Branches will work in close conjunction with each other to provide a positive pastoral presence while promoting spiritual growth and wellness for residents from the point of admission up to and through the dying experience.
Pastor Position Highlights:
- Develops one-on-one and small group experiences to support the spiritual nurture of residents
- Plans and leads Sunday services and special worship services.
- Plans/leads resident funeral and memorial services.
- Collaborates with pastoral colleagues to plan visitation schedule for newly admitted residents, residents who are hospitalized, and others struggling with life growth challenges.
- Keeps accurate and current documentation of pastoral visits with residents.
- Participates as active member of the Mosaic Mennonite Conference Chaplains group and maintains regular contact with designated overseer.
- Keeps alert to the spiritual needs of staff and is willing to offer pastoral care as appropriate.
- Preferred; 2-4 years of related worked experience in a congregational setting
- Familiarity with the Mennonite/Anabaptist tradition and/or a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with a wide range of religious perspectives and respect for diverse opinions, beliefs and life experiences
- Experience providing care for geriatric persons or working with dementia type residents preferred
- A minimum of 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Credentialing for ministry by a recognized denomination
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Pastoral Care/Counseling/MDiv,
