Benevolent Care is a ministry which provides grants to residents who, through no fault of their own, can no longer cover the full cost of their care. Although every person is unique, their individual stories share common themes. They have worked hard, raised children, given back to their communities, and saved for their retirement. But now, unanticipated challenges have placed them in a position of financial need.
In recent years Living Branches has provided some form of benevolent or unreimbursed care to more than 100 residents each year. The Living Branches Foundation is typically able to provide grants of over $1,000,000 from fund earnings to offset a portion of the costs of care.

“We knew [my mom] had somewhat limited savings and monthly income. When they talked to us about the benevolent care program and how that could help if her funds ran out, it was a big comfort to her and the family – to know she would be taken care of.”
“My mom lived here for seven years. She loved her room and her friends. Souderton Mennonite Homes was wonderful to my mother, and so I make a contribution every year to show my appreciation.”
