Class Summary

Over the years composers have created musical compositions that feature animals. We will listen to music about or including animals of various species. The featured work in this course will be the famous “Carnival of the Animals” by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns that includes humorous verses written by Ogden Nash.

About the Instructor

James Smith earned a degree in music education from Mansfield University. A retired elementary vocal music teacher, he is the organist at Sanctuary United Methodist Church in North Wales. James and his wife, Sue, live at Dock Woods.
