Class Summary

When a person comes to the end of life, they have physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and practical needs and may experience pain or discomfort. Our role as caregivers, family, or friends is to increase the chance of a peaceful death by following the end-of-life wishes of the dying person.

About the Instructor

Ruth Hoskins, Ph.D., HHS, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and trainer. Ruth has a Ph.D. in holistic health science and taught health psychology at a local college for 25 years. She works for Caring Hospice, providing support services and training on end-of-life issues to families and staff.
