About the Instructor

Carol Muller, Ph.D. is a professor of ethnomusicology at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a bachelor’s degree in ethnomusicology from the University of [KwaZulu] Natal and a doctorate from New York University. She teaches classes on music and health and a first-year seminar on well-being that helps Penn freshmen transition to the university.
