The Nutrition Care Coordinator works closely with the Nutrition Care Manager, Registered Dietitian and Dining Services team to plan and produce meals based on established guidelines, teach principles of food and nutrition to residents and staff, or counsel residents with various needs. Supervise dining staff, conducting audits and participating in quality assurance programs to guarantee great service!
Nutrition Care Coordinator Requirements:
- Take pride in ensuring the best customer service to residents, families and other team members
- Assists the dietitians in food service planning and assists with meal service.
- Obtains and evaluates dietary histories and preferences of individuals to plan nutritional programs.
- Supervises, inspects, and corrects Diet Aide staff as needed throughout the shift. Check-out staff members in each kitchen/area of service before they can leave at the end of their shift.
- Assists with developing schedules, hiring, disciplinary action, conducting in-services, on job training, and orientation for staff members.
- Assists with planning and implementation of menus and programs to improve service to the residents, guests, and staff
- Handles all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all Federal, State and County regulatory procedures regarding food service.
- Participates in and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs/trainings, as applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Degree in Hospitality, Human Nutrition, Food & Nutrition, Dietetics or related field (Preferred)
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Experience providing quality customer services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
