Living Branches is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Dock Woods. As a leader for the Environmental Services team, you’ll oversee the day-to-day scheduling and activities of the maintenance department by directing and coordinating our team. You’ll provides leadership, ensures work assignments are completed correctly, and be responsible for all maintenance and turnover related job duties for the campus. Must be able to participate in on call schedule and work evenings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather as needed.
Maintenance Supervisor position highlights:
- Plans, coordinates and implements scheduling of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing maintenance. Oversees installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems for all campuses. Manages computer maintenance software system.
- Maintains work order records, equipment service records, work logs, reports and time sheets as required. Checks and follows-up on employee work assignments and work completed by outside contractors for results and conformance with company codes and standards.
- Participates in maintenance on-call schedule and conducts monthly department and individual employee meetings and participates in facility meetings as required to coordinate the Maintenance Team.
- Provides seven-day per week and on-call scheduling of Maintenance Team to ensure normal business hour availability and around-the-clock coverage for emergency situations.
- Plans, coordinates, and completes annual unit inspections of apartments and common spaces. Assigns, manages, and confirms the successful and timely completion of all work orders from the annual unit inspections.
- Oversees appropriate Federal, State, and Local inspections regarding building construction and safety (such as Life Safety Inspections.). Handles compliance and education concerning all OSHA and related standards pertaining to work site safety. Conducts and documents all fire drills.
- Plans, coordinates and implements snow removal. Assists with landscaping duties by operating hand and power tools, and landscaping equipment as required.
- Previous experience in a supervisory/leadership role. Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, has ability to prioritize work within given deadlines and to address emergencies as they may occur
- Solid knowledge of building systems, cleaning processes and infection control, along with regulatory codes and standards (DOH, DPW, LS)
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on resident satisfaction
- Must have a high school diploma, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
