Our Housekeeping and Janitorial Supervisor at Souderton Mennonite Homes organizes and oversees work orders and specific requests to coordinate the day-to-day scheduling and activities of the housekeeping, laundry, and janitorial departments by directing and coordinating the activities of the personnel. Provides leadership, ensures work assignments are completed correctly and ensures customer satisfaction. We are a 24/7 environment and as such position may require evening, night, weekend, holidays and during inclement weather as needed.
Housekeeping and Janitorial Supervisor Overview:
- Plans, coordinates and implements scheduling of housekeeping services, janitorial services and receiving.
- Maintains staff coverage for all daily assignments and workflow. Performs daily housekeeping, laundry and custodial tasks and turnover related job duties as needed.
- Performs weekly inspections, making recommendations for improving service and increasing operational efficiency.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining supply inventory levels and linen inventories of each area of the facility. Meets with product vendors, orders and tracks inventory of supplies and maintains accurate records on purchasing, inventory, and charges as needed.
- Provides compliance and education concerning all OSHA and related standards pertaining to work site safety and Risk Management issues and provides orientation training and staff education until they are performing at or above standard expectations.
- High School Graduate/GED
- 2-4 years with supervisory experience preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment and with housekeeping, laundry and/or custodial operations preferred
