We are looking for a Fitness and Aquatics Assistant to join our team at Dock Woods!
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating fitness programs that keep our residents happy and healthy in all areas of fitness and aquatics. Being a part of a senior living team, you will be an integral component for resident well-being, comfort, and safety.
Fitness and Aquatics Assistant Overview:
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the organization
- Support residents in their daily activities, promoting engagement and well-being.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality with the ability to encourage active resident participation
- Design, lead, and implement fitness programs for residents with special medical needs (e.g. post-rehab, diabetes, orthopedic limitations, etc.)
- Conduct fitness and movement assessments.
- Instruct land /aquatic class programming geared for residents of senior living communities, focusing on fall prevention and quality of life.
- Educate members on safe movement patterns, posture, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor resident progress, adjust programs as needed and document outcomes.
- Strong assessment and program design abilities
- Team-oriented with a compassionate and motivational approach
- High School Diploma
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
- Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Group Exercise (Required)
