We are looking for a Director of Culinary Services to lead our dining team at Dock Woods! As the Director of Culinary Services, you will lead the Dining Services team by implementing and supporting all dining related programs from production, retail operations, and catering to menu development, resident satisfaction, training, safety and sanitation.  If you’re passionate about making memories through excellent food and great service, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for!

 

 Director of Culinary Services Highlights:

  • Assures that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the dining services department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
  • Develops or assists in the developing of food service policies and procedures for the dining services department and personnel. Educates and teaches employees on relevant safety and sanitation issues.
  • Assumes financial accountability for the dining service department.
  • Ensures quality food, develops menus for all areas of the community with the culinary team and promotes an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, guests and staff.
  • Maintains compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and directs safety, sanitation, security, and facility maintenance programs.
  • Oversees the procurement and maintenance of food supplies and equipment for the department.
  • Manages food production and distribution services.
  • Directs all phases of resident nutritional care program using the services of the dietitian.
  • Provides excellent customer service across all campuses.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, fire and safety procedures, HACCP regulations, as well as knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Ability to identify problems associated with the daily work routine and provide suggestions for correction of those problems
  • Strong managerial skills to provide guidance and direction, set performance standards and monitor performance of subordinates
  • Associates Degreed in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or related field (required)
  • Related work experience of 2-4 years (required)
  • ServSafe certification (required)
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CMD), preferred
