Within Dock Woods, we are proud to offer two rental-assistance apartment complexes that serve residents whose income level meets HUD housing subsidy requirements: Dock Village for families or individuals of any age, and Dock Manor for seniors. This position will assist our Dock Village complex.
The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Dock Village Resident Manager and residents such as receiving visitors, arranging calls, scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, answering phones, assists with coordination of assigned projects or events, etc.
Administrative Assistant Overview:
- Provides administrative support to the Dock Village team by performing routine administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, photocopying, labeling, placing/receiving phone calls, scheduling appointments, opening, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence, etc.
- Responds to resident questions and provides residents with information regarding the facility.
- Maintains office supply inventory. Processes supply orders, signs for and verifies receipt of items, and distributes delivered orders.
- Prepares minutes, memos, and correspondence as requested and maintains documentation as required by regulations and organizational policies.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and address emergencies as they may occur
- Experience providing customer & personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Experience in secretarial skills such as typing, filling, written communication
- Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Experience with affordable housing (preferred)
- Must possess extensive knowledge and understanding of computers including MS Office software
