The best part? You don’t have to be a Living Branches resident to attend!
We believe everyone in the room brings valuable knowledge and experience. Instructors and participants alike ask questions and learn from one another.
Course content is offered for educational and enrichment purposes, and the views expressed do not necessarily represent Living U or Living Branches.
Living U courses are open to all older adults, and residency at Living Branches is not required.
Many of our students are not residents; they simply enjoy the friendly atmosphere, learning opportunities, and the chance to make new friends or reconnect with others after class.
Each Living U semester features a wide range of topics, from history, religion, and current events to wellness, art, music, science, and the natural world. Some classes are hands-on, like painting or gardening; others are thought-provoking lectures or small-group discussions.
Most semesters also include one or more field trips to places like churches, museums, farms, parks, and other locations.
- 1-5 courses – $30.00
- 6-10 courses – $50.00
- 11 or more courses – $75.00
Certain classes and field trips have extra costs noted in the course descriptions.
Unless the course has an extra fee, Personal Care and Health Care residents at Living Branches may participate in Living U courses free of charge. Please contact your life enrichment coordinator or Maribeth Benner to register.
Living Branches residents may pay with a credit card or their Living Branches account. All other students may pay by credit card (including Dock Manor residents).
Registration costs are non-refundable.
Living Branches residents may sign up for shuttle service across each of our communities. If you sign up for the shuttle, a team member will call you the day before class to confirm your pick-up time and location.
If you need to change your shuttle plans, please call the Dock Woods office team at 215-368-4438.
