An overview of the history of the underground railroad in Montgomery County will be presented spanning the time period of its activity. We will touch on specific houses, properties, individuals, and much more.

About the Instructor: Ryan J. Conroy

Ryan has volunteered with multiple local non-profit organizations in providing historical research, and has authored articles for magazines, websites and blogs. He serves on the boards of the Phoenixville and Spring-Ford Historical Societies. He has a local history show online for Voxipop called Timeless Tales. Ryan enjoys sharing his love of history and knowledge of some of his favorite subjects such as local history, photography, immigration, and historic properties.
