Come to learn some facts and gain clarity about the following financial topics. Session 1 will address:

  • Financial planning and goal setting
  • Charitable giving – when is the right time to give
  • Outliving your money – careful considerations

In session 2, we will look at:

  • How the federal tax code works
  • The pros and cons of annuities
  • Opportunities and decisions now that interest rates are normal

About the Instructors

As a senior vice president and manager of wealth services at Girard: A Univest Wealth Division, Jim Jacobson helps his clients achieve their wealth management goals using holistic financial planning, appropriate asset allocation, tax-efficient investment vehicles, and by integrating with their team of attorneys and accountants.

A certified financial planner (CFP), Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bradley University. Wes Remmey, a wealth advisor at Girard, is committed to being a reliable, trusted resource to his clients by helping them strategize their investment needs and goals and establishing a comprehensive investment plan to help achieve them. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Penn State University. Jim and Wes both hold FINRA Series 7, NASAA Series 63 and Series 65, along with the Pennsylvania Life, Accident, & Health Insurance licenses.
