Gospel Music Fest and Hymn Sing

Gospel Music Fest and Hymn Sing

The annual Chicken BBQ at Souderton Mennonite Homes looked a bit different this year than it has in years past, but we were excited to welcome some fun activities back to campus for residents in the week leading up to the BBQ. We were also thrilled to be able to continue the traditions of the auction, gospel music fest, and hymn sing which all went virtual!

The gospel music fest featured Gold City quartet. They were not able to travel to Souderton Mennonite Homes as they are from a state on the quarantined states list, so the group recorded a special concert just for us which was aired on in-house TV for residents on Saturday.

The annual Paul and Stella Godshall Memorial Hymn Sing closes out the Chicken BBQ each year on Sunday evening. This year we were pleased to welcome song leaders from local Mennonite churches to join us in this time of worship. The hymn sing premiered on our YouTube channel for persons in the wider community and was also aired on in-house TV for residents.

In lieu of a freewill offering that is taken during both events, donations to the Agape Fund for benevolent care can be made online here. For more information, contact Keith Heavener at 215-368-4438 or keith.heavener@livingbranches.org
